Web designs, like fashion do change from time to time. From 1990's web pages with red and blue hyperlink flashing at the middle with boxy banners to smoother, color coded landing pages, web designing has evolved massively. Aside from the main content, websites seem to be evolving in their structure and design. It is like renovating a house. One would exchange old fans for the state of art central air conditioners, old wooden doors with the latest sliding ones. Similarly web designers will shift to more "state of art", sophisticated and crisp looking designs.
It will not only be the technology that will bring out the best in website design but the creativity and the toned down 'decorations' too. So let's pay our tributes to the fads that were adopted in 2013 and with the brilliant advancements in technology will probably not be seen in 2014 (at least).
Those rectangular banners will be seen less and less as many websites will have changing backgrounds or animated icons on the landing pages. Landing pages now are getting less cluttered and simpler in their designs and alignment.
Web design certainly has embraced the term “less is more” in full zeal. As for the viewers, it may have been observed that they found those sliding banners more annoying than attractive and preferred less gaudy homepages which allowed for easy navigation.
Today a lot of websites are syncing user accounts with their social media or email accounts. Turns out viewers really disliked filling those long and arduous forms. Asking the audience too many questions also tended to make them insecure and suspicious of that website. Web design companies will incorporate brief forms or none at all.
It is only new until everyone has it. Circular logo with text wrapped in it or outlined were the new big thing in 2013. Because everyone wanted the next big thing, it turned into yet another regular form of logo.
Flash based websites have gone completely out of fashion. Gone are the days when viewers got an eyeful of those catchy introductions. In fact viewers preferred simple and not very unpredictable animations popping on their landing pages and catching them by surprise
Everyone finds too many fonts on a page unattractive. It tends to disrupt the consistency of the webpage and especially the look. Using too many fancy fonts has actually complicated life more for the web designers.
Web design is getting less complicated day by day. Web designers are moving towards simpler, aesthetic and pleasing to the eyes designs that are also catchy and creative at the same time. Gone are the days with excessive glamour and unwanted drama on the web pages.
Remember, the simpler the website design is, the better it will highlight the content and the company. Simplicity is the easiest and most effective form of marketing and web design companies like 4M Designers will prove that in 2014.
